Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have a shop?

No. I work from my registered business at home. I hold a 5* food hygiene rating through Ashford Council

I have a Travelling Emporium (market stall) appearing at various farmers markets and craft shows throughout Kent, weather dependant. Follow my Instagram or Facebook account to keep a track on me, and I'd love to see you in person at any event.

Delivery time

Generally I can process your order within 3 days and send out via Royal Mail tracked 24 to ensure your chocolates spend the least time possible in uncontrolled transit, and arrive to you in perfect condition.

On that note. I send your chocolate out with a fair amount of packaging and certainly bonbon boxes will not fit through your letterbox, and inadvisable to be left in the elements. I'll send your tracking number, please ensure you make arrangements to recveive your parcel.

Obviously treatment in transit is out of my control and sometimes mishaps occur. Please contact me immediately with any issues and I'll do my very best to find a solution

Despatch may be delayed during hot weather as they will just melt, but I will keep you informed contact at times like this. Please consider this if ordering for a specific occasion date

Shelf life

Because bonbons are made with the freshest of ingredients and the minimum of preservatives I state that they will be at their best for four weeks upon receipt. If stored correctly they will be perfectly fine long after that but decoration and flavour will start to dissipate. Chocolate bars will be good for much much longer, but some inclusions may loose their crispiness in treats where they are exposed by design and not totally covered in chocolate

How to store

Keep bonbons out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources. Cool and dark is ideal 10-18deg C is perfect, over 24degC could be problematic and you may have to eat with a spoon. Refrigeration for about 10 minutes when delivered on warm days is recommended but any longer will cause condensation which will ruin the decoration. Wine fridge storage is generally ok.
